Read what people in our riding are saying about John Hogg:

The Silver Fox Alliance released a letter congratulating John Hogg on his nomination:

I congratulate you on behalf of the Silver Fox Alliance on your nomination as the Carleton-Mississippi Mills Green Party of Canada candidate. The Silver Fox Alliance is an association of Canadian privatesector seniors and pensioners committed to creating justice in bankruptcy, once and for all.

As a former Nortel employee and current holder of a Nortel pension, you understand the reasonour organization has formed. You understand the tragedy of the failure of Nortel, a great Canadian-based multinational company. You also understand the injustice of  Stephen Harper's Conservative government which refused to reform archaic Canadian bankruptcy laws. And you understand the short-sighted position of the Harper government in having no vision for the  high tech industry.

We wish you luck in the 2011 federal election. We are confident that you will speak forcefully for Nortel pensioners and the high tech community centered in your riding.

Yours truly,

John Tyson

Silver Fox Alliance

"I am pleased to endorse John Hogg of the Green Party and the person to vote for in the May 2nd election. John understand the issues in the riding and is well-informed about national and international concerns. As a working mother of four who was born and raised in Uganda, I want to know that our MP is thinking long-term when representing us in our national Parliament. " Susan Namulindwa, Kanata

“I personally endorse John Hogg of the Green Party as the person to vote for in the May 2nd election.  John strongly supports our effort to protect the South March Highlands, and helped us organize support from Elizabeth May last spring – the only federal party leader to acknowledge the importance of this issue.  We need an MP that understands that it is unsustainable to separate our economic well-being from our environment.  Quality of life is as important as quantity, and no other federal political party has demonstrated more commitment than the Green Party to preserving the natural beauty and cultural heritage of the South March Highlands.”  Paul Renaud, Stittsville

I would emphasize health issues in terms of  forests. They are an escape from noise and air contamination, ease depression, recharge energies, but, as the bus driver said ," children are not playing out of doors anymore". Why should this generation be  custodians of the natural environment they know so little about? I endorse John Hogg of the Green Party as the person to vote for in the May 2nd election. We desperately need politicians who will speak out about our environmental concerns as illustrated by the recent clear cutting in "Ottawa's GreatForest Park". Martha Webber

"I strongly endorse John Hogg of the Green Party and the candidate to vote for in the May 2nd election.  As a community representative I know John's emphasis on long term planning and the future is the correct course of action he will represent our local concerns in Parliament very well." Gord Henderson, past-President, Beaverbrook Community Association
